Where are you based and do you travel?
Daniela Marie Photography is based out of a home office in Wheeling, Illinois. I bring the studio to you, photographing in your home, at your chosen location, or in a variety of beautiful outdoor spaces.
I proudly serve local and surrounding areas and also offer destination sessions. For destination shoots, clients are responsible for travel and hotel accommodations. If you have a special location in mind, I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
I focus on quality over quantity while still delivering a full and meaningful gallery. Each image is carefully selected and professionally edited to ensure it meets my artistic and quality standards.
That said, I also believe in providing a complete story of your session. You can expect to receive nearly every usable image captured during your booking timeframe, not just a small curated set. This allows you to relive the entire experience through a wide variety of moments, expressions, and details.
Final image counts vary depending on the session type, length, and flow of the day, but my goal is always to deliver a well-rounded gallery that beautifully reflects your story.
How do you work with children during portraits?
Working with children has become second nature, and I’ve learned that patience, flexibility, and understanding are key to capturing authentic moments. Portrait sessions are scheduled to accommodate your child’s natural rhythm, allowing for snacks, breaks, and time to settle in — all while still ensuring we have enough time to create a full gallery of beautiful images.
Most of our sessions involving children encourage movement and play rather than rigid posing. This approach helps children feel comfortable, release energy, and enjoy the experience, which naturally leads to genuine smiles, expressions, and moments that truly reflect their personality. My goal is always to create a relaxed, fun environment where your child can be themselves, resulting in timeless portraits you’ll treasure.
